Celebrating the finale of NAILS Next Top Nail Artist Season Three at theWit during ABS last year (l to r): CND’s Jan Arnold, NTNA Season Two winner Lavette Cephus; 2nd runner-up Sarah Elmaz; winner Winnie Huang; 1st runner-up Celina Rydén; and NAILS Magazine’s Beth Livesay.

NAILS Next Top Nail Artist selected America’s Beauty Show as its permanent home for the final showdown and awards event. The international online nail art competition launched by NAILS Magazine in 2013 with top sponsor CND moved its prestigious finals and awards gala to Chicago last year after running for two seasons in Long Beach, California.

“We outgrew our venue,” says Beth Livesay, executive editor of NAILS and manager of NTNA. “When the organizers at ABS suggested looking at Chicago we saw the possibilities.”

During the final elements of the competition, the remaining Top 3 competitors create multiple sets of nail designs around a specific theme. They undergo a Q&A interview with CND Co-founder and Style Director Jan Arnold on the show floor, and they each create a design for a magazine cover during an on-location cover shoot at McCormick Place.

On Saturday evening, the excitement builds at Roof on the Wit, where the winner of NTNA is announced. Last year about 300 people were on hand to see Vancouver, British Columbia nail artist Winnie Huang win the grand prize.

Information about booth location for the final Q&A and for the party at theWit will be available in early February. To find out more about NAILS Next Top Nail Artist visit NTNA’s website.
